Aura Skypool

Private daybed platform above pool water with Palm view.

Why visit

Who will love it
Best forCouples and adult travelers who want a pool session with serious views, not just a quick observation deck stop. Aura Skypool is worth prioritizing if you are happy to spend 3–4 hours at The Palm Tower, pay from 200 AED, and treat the booking as a relaxed half-day with photos, swimming, and Palm Jumeirah skyline views from 200 m.
Who should skip it

Skip or lower priority if you only want the view, are travelling with limited time, or dislike paying more for location-based seating and peak-light slots. The second row or a calmer morning session is the smarter choice for most visitors; book it when the pool experience matters as much as the panorama.

What to know beforehand

Aura Skypool is a lifestyle destination where the social atmosphere is as significant as the infinity edge itself. It is a top-tier choice for couples and content creators who value the 'Dubai vibe,' but those seeking a quiet, unhurried swim may find the strictly timed sessions and constant photography a bit clinical.

If you only want the view without the pool price, the observation deck at The View at The Palm is a more efficient alternative.

The most strategic move is booking the second-row seating or the indoor lounge; you enjoy the same 360-degree access and menu without the steep front-row premium.

Arrive at least 15 minutes early via the Palm Monorail to Nakheel Mall, as finding the dedicated Aura lobby within The Palm Tower can be confusing, and sessions are never extended for late arrivals.

Pro Tip: Morning sessions offer the best value and a much calmer environment than the high-priced, crowded sunset slots.

Which ticket to choose

For most visitors, the best-value choice is a standard pool session with second-row seating. You still get the 360-degree pool access, towel, changing rooms, lockers, and the same skyline views from the deck, without paying extra for a front-row lounger you may not use for the full session.

Pay more if the seat itself matters: a front-row lounger is worth it for couples celebrating something, content creators, or anyone who wants uninterrupted photos from their own spot. A full-day option makes sense only if you genuinely want a long pool-club day from late morning through sunset; for sightseeing-focused travelers, a 3-hour session is enough.

  • Best value: morning or sunrise pool session with second-row seating
  • Best for photos: sunset-facing or premium front-row seating
  • Best without swimming: indoor lounge, breakfast, or lunch experience
  • Best for a slow luxury day: full-day pool access
TipThe common first-time mistake is buying the most expensive sunset seat “just in case.” If your priority is the view rather than the lounger, a calmer morning slot or lounge booking can deliver the same 50th-floor panorama for less.

When to go

Morning is the most comfortable slot: the light is clean, the deck feels calmer, and it is easier to enjoy the pool rather than compete for photo angles. Sunrise sessions are especially good if you want cooler air, softer city views, and a quieter start to the day.

Late afternoon and sunset are the most photogenic, but they are also the most in-demand and priced accordingly. The light is warmer over Palm Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf, yet the atmosphere is busier and more social.

For solo travelers, morning is the easiest and least pressured choice. Couples should choose sunset if photos and atmosphere matter more than price. Families with older teens should choose a daytime session, as guests below 15 are not admitted, and evening access has stricter age rules.

Combos and discounts

Aura Skypool is best treated as a standalone reservation rather than a classic Dubai combo ticket. Major booking platforms sell separate Aura experiences such as sunrise pool access, evening pool access, lunch in the sky, and occasional lounge-style evening formats, but these are not the same as a guaranteed bundled pass with nearby attractions.

The nearest natural pairing is The View at The Palm in the same tower area, but it is usually booked separately. Dubai city passes such as Go City Dubai are not a dependable way to enter Aura Skypool, so do not build your plan around pass access here.

The practical saving is in the session and seat choice: second-row seating, morning access, or a lounge/dining experience without pool access can be noticeably better value than a premium sunset lounger. Food and drinks are charged separately unless your chosen experience specifically includes a set menu or package.

ImportantBring a valid photo ID, swimwear that meets the venue dress code, and arrive about 15 minutes early. The entrance is through the dedicated Aura lobby at The Palm Tower, near St. Regis, not through a normal hotel pool entrance.

When a tour makes sense

A guided tour is not necessary for Aura Skypool itself. The experience is simple: arrive, check in, use the changing rooms, take your assigned seat, swim, eat or drink if you want, and enjoy the views.

A tour only makes sense if Aura is one stop in a wider Palm Jumeirah or Dubai photography itinerary with private transport. In that case, a guide can help with timing, viewpoints, and logistics around The Palm Tower, Nakheel Mall, Atlantis, Dubai Marina, or a yacht cruise.

If your goal is just to swim, relax, and take photos from the world’s highest 360-degree infinity pool, self-visit is the better choice. Spend the extra budget on a better time slot, a comfortable seat, or food and drinks on site.

How to find the entrance

1
Arrive at Palm TowerGo to The Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah; the nearest Palm Monorail stop is Nakheel Mall.
2
Find Aura LobbyDo not enter through the pool area or St. Regis hotel; use the separate Aura lobby beside it.
3
Check In FirstShow your booking confirmation on your phone and allow about 15 minutes for registration and changing.
4
Take Direct LiftAfter check-in, staff direct guests to the dedicated high-speed lift up to Aura Skypool on the 50th floor.

Go to The Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah, not to a beach club entrance and not through a general hotel check-in. Aura Skypool has its own lobby in The Palm Tower, close to The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm. This is the key point that confuses first-time visitors: the pool is inside the tower, but the arrival experience feels connected to the mall and hotel area.

If arriving by public transport, use Palm Monorail to Nakheel Mall station, then allow extra time inside the complex to find the correct Aura lobby. Do not arrive at your session start time; come at least 15 minutes early because time can be lost on mall routing, finding the lobby, check-in, and elevator access to the 50th floor.

ImportantBooking is required before arrival. Have your reservation name ready, and go calmly to the Aura check-in area rather than asking for the hotel reception or trying to enter through a restaurant or pool deck directly.

Practical limits & what to bring

What to consider before visiting

Aura Skypool is not a quick viewpoint: book it as a 3–4 hour pool session, or choose a full-day option if you want a slower lounge experience. Arrive about 15 minutes before your slot because the main delay is check-in and finding the correct Aura lobby inside The Palm Tower, not the lift ride to the 50th floor.

The venue is open-air around the pool deck, so sun, wind and bright glare are part of the experience. Morning is calmer and more comfortable; sunset is better for photos but busier and more expensive.

Bring a passport, Emirates ID, or other valid photo ID. Guests under 15 are not admitted; guests aged 15–18 must be with an adult, and after 7 pm guests under 21 are not admitted.

Appropriate swimwear is required in the pool: swimsuits, bikinis, one-piece suits, Speedos, rash guards, board shorts and burkinis are accepted. Abayas, sarees, cotton clothing, jeans, long trousers, underwear, street clothes and see-through items are not accepted as swimwear.

Wheelchair access is available through the venue, and City View seating is the easiest outdoor option for wheelchair users. There are no ramps into the pool itself; pool access is by steps or ladders.

What you can and cannot bring

  • Outside food and drinks are not allowed.
  • Food takeaway from the venue is not allowed.
  • Professional photography and videography are not allowed without prior written approval.
  • Personal photos and videos are allowed, provided you respect other guests’ privacy.
  • Bring swimwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, a phone with your booking confirmation, and valid ID.
  • One towel is included with pool entry.

Storage and belongings

Changing facilities, showers, dryers and lockers are available free of charge. Use the lockers for your clothes, shoes and small personal items; do not arrive with large luggage, as Aura is a pool lounge rather than a baggage-storage venue.

Bathrobes, slippers and extra towels are available for an additional charge. Since children under 15 are not admitted, this is not a practical stroller stop; plan to visit without baby gear.

Location and what's nearby

What the district is like

  • Palm Jumeirah is a resort district: beach clubs, hotel towers, sea-view dining, and skyline photos matter more than street culture.
  • The Palm Tower area feels compact and polished, with Nakheel Mall, rooftop venues, and indoor dining stacked around one hub.
  • It suits a high-rise-and-beach day: pool session, viewpoint, mall break, then sunset on Palm West Beach.
  • Families, couples, and first-time Dubai visitors come here for clean logistics, big views, and easy dining rather than hidden local lanes.

Ready-made day route

Start at Nakheel Mall for a short indoor reset, then go up to Aura Skypool for the main skyline-and-pool experience. Afterward, add The View at The Palm if you want a dry observation-deck perspective, walk through Al Ittihad Park, and continue to Palm West Beach for sunset.

Keep dinner close at SUSHISAMBA Dubai if you want the same-tower skyline mood, or choose Ibn AlBahr for a more relaxed seafood finish by the water.

NoteThe common mistake is trying to combine Palm Jumeirah with Old Dubai in the same half-day; keep this route beach-and-skyline focused.

Verified numbers and scale

  • Height: 200 m above ground, or 210 m above sea level, which is high enough for full Palm Jumeirah geometry shots.
  • Floor: Level 50 of The Palm Tower, two floors below The View at The Palm observation deck.
  • Record: The world's highest 360-degree infinity pool, a narrower record than Dubai's highest outdoor infinity pool.
  • Pool deck: 750 sq m, giving Aura more of a sky beach-club layout than a simple hotel pool terrace.
  • Water volume: 930,000 litres, a serious structural load carried around the tower's upper levels.
  • Host tower: The Palm Tower has 52 storeys and rises 240 m, with Aura positioned below SUSHISAMBA and The View.
  • Venue scale: The designed Aura space covers 1,516 sq m across two levels, separating guest facilities from the main pool deck.

Myths and misconceptions

  • Myth: Aura is the world's highest infinity pool outright. In fact: Its record is for the highest 360-degree infinity pool.
  • Myth: Aura is inside Atlantis The Palm. In fact: It is on Level 50 of The Palm Tower, beside Nakheel Mall.
  • Myth: The View at The Palm and Aura are the same deck. In fact: The View is on Level 52; Aura's pool is on Level 50.
  • Myth: Your chosen view is the only view you can see. In fact: Seating is allocated, but guests can move around the 360-degree pool.
  • Myth: It is just a hotel pool for St. Regis guests. In fact: Aura operates as a standalone sky-pool lounge within The Palm Tower.

Rare and unusual

  • The guest facilities sit on Level 49, while the pool deck sits above on Level 50.
  • Level 49 was designed like an underwater cave, contrasting with the bright "island in the sky" pool deck above.
  • A brass-clad staircase with integrated LED lighting links the lower facilities to the main Aura level.
  • The changing rooms use sand-blasted blue-green glass doors to reinforce the underwater-cave theme.
  • The pool wraps all four sides of The Palm Tower, so the 360-degree claim is built into the plan, not just the view.
  • The outdoor furniture includes Kettal pieces by designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Doshi Levien, and Rodolfo Dordoni.

Why it matters

Aura Skypool turns Dubai’s love of viewpoints into something more relaxed than an observation deck. Instead of a quick photo stop, it gives visitors several hours on the 50th floor of The Palm Tower, with the pool wrapped around the building for a full 360-degree view.

Its importance comes from the setting as much as the height. From about 200 metres above Palm Jumeirah, you can read Dubai’s geography clearly: the Palm’s fronds below, the Arabian Gulf beyond, Dubai Marina to one side, and the mainland skyline in the distance.

For today’s visitor, the appeal is not deep history but perspective. Aura Skypool is one of the clearest examples of modern Dubai packaging architecture, leisure, and skyline views into a single paid experience — more expensive than a public beach, but slower and more atmospheric than a standard lookout.

♿ Accessibility & families

Accessibility and family policy

  • Wheelchair access: AURA SKYPOOL is accessible throughout the venue, with lift access to Level 50 of The Palm Tower and wheelchair access around the lounge and deck areas. For the easiest outdoor movement, book the City View seating area. The pool itself is not step-free: there are no pool-entry ramps, and water access is by steps or ladders only.
  • Strollers and young children: This is not a practical venue for strollers or babies because guests under 15 are not admitted. There is no free-entry child band; admission applies only to eligible guests with a paid booking.
  • Teen policy: Guests aged 15–18 must be accompanied by an adult. After 7:00 pm, guests under 21 are not admitted to AURA. Photo ID is required for age checks.
  • Comfort notes: Older and reduced-mobility visitors can enjoy the views without entering the pool, but pool access is the main limitation. The venue is a high-rise pool lounge with allocated seating, music in afternoon and evening sessions, outdoor smoking areas, and a strict no outside food or drinks policy, so it suits adults and older teens better than families with young children.

🏢 On-site amenities

On-site amenities

  • Restrooms and changing: Toilets are available within the Sky Lounge area on the 50th floor, with no separate toilet fee for ticketed guests. Pool guests also get full changing facilities, showers, lockers, dryers, and 1 complimentary towel; extra towels, bathrobes, and slippers cost extra.
  • Food and drinks: AURA has an indoor lounge and poolside service with a premium, adults-oriented feel rather than a casual café setup. The menu focuses on international sharing dishes with a Pan-Asian influence, plus breakfast during early sessions and drinks from the bar.
  • Water and outside items: Outside food and drinks are not allowed, so bring no picnic snacks or personal beverages into the venue. Order water and other drinks through the lounge or poolside service.
  • Shop: There is an AURA boutique on-site selling swimwear for men and women, apparel, accessories, and AURA-branded gift items. This is useful if your swimwear does not meet the venue’s dress rules.
